View source for Jansz, Pieter (d. 1698)

Pieter Jansz, "van den Busch" (a hamlet near [[Krommenie (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Krommenie]]), from 1665 a preacher and from 1675 until his death an elder of the Frisian Mennonite congregation of [[Wormerveer (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Wormerveer]], Dutch province of [[North Holland (Netherlands)|North Holland]] (he was moderator of the [[Vriesche Doopsgezinde Sociëteit in Noordholland|North Holland Frisian Conference]] in 1698), proprietor of a paper mill, traveled to  [[Friedrichstadt (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany)|Friedrichstadt]] in [[Schleswig-Holstein Mennonite Church (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany)|Holstein]], Germany, on business and also served the congregation there, which had no minister, with preaching, baptism, and communion. He died on this trip at Friedrichstadt in 1698.
