View source for Spielmann, Christoph (1861-1917)

Christoph Spielmann, (1861-1917), director of the city archives at Wiesbaden, [[Germany|Germany]], and the author of various works on pedagogy and history; for example, <em>Sagen und Geschichten aus dem Nassauerland</em> and <em>Geschichte von Nassau</em>, as well as novels, stories, and dramas. In 1894 he published an article in the <em>Annalen für nassauische Altertumskunde und Geschichtsforschung</em> (XXVII) with the title "Die <em>Mennoniten und ihre Bedeutung fur die Kultur in Nassau</em>," which aside from a few historical errors is a just evaluation of Mennonitism.
