Jan Zoet (Soet) (1610-1674), a Dutch (non-Mennonite) poet of [[Amsterdam (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Amsterdam]], and in later years an innkeeper, in whose tavern "De Zoete Rust" (Sweet Rest) some Collegiant poets used to meet and discuss religious problems, including the Mennonites Pieter J. van Rixtel and Karel Verloove. Zoet published many volumes of mediocre verse. His poem "Het Groote Vischnet" (The Big Fishnet) criticizes the churches.
