Young People's Union Retreats and Workshops

Young People's Union Retreats and Workshops have been sponsored for the inspiration of young people of the General Conference Mennonite Church, usually in connection with the triennial General Conference session. The first one was held at Seven Oaks, Cal., in August 1935. Others have been held at Camp Mack near Milford, IN, 1947; St. Peter, MN, 1950; Canon Beach, OR, 1953; Lake Winnipeg, MB, 1956; and Camp Friedenswald, MI. The 1950 and 1953 sessions were designated as workshops since attention was given to the development of principles and practices for local youth fellowships.
