Wynalda family

Wynalda, a Mennonite family found from the 17th century in the Dutch province of Friesland. There were a number of Mennonite preachers by this name: Eilert and his son Yde Wynalda were un­trained preachers at Surhuisterveen from 1750 and 1772 respectively, both of whom died in 1801-2. Tjebbe Wynalda, d. ca. 1797 at Pingjum, was a lay preacher of the Witmarsum congregation 1750-1794. Jan Evertsz Wynalda, educated at the Zonist seminary, served at Enkhuizen 1785-1786 and Blokzijl 1786-d. 1795.
