Wolf Creek Hutterite Colony was founded in 1963 as a division from the Tschetter Hutterite Colony in Olivet, South Dakota. In 2012 Wolf Creek Colony was a Schiedeleut Group 2 colony. The minister was John Decker and the manager was Paul Decker.

Daughter colonies of Wolf Creek include: Rustic Acres (Madison, South Dakota); and Spring Lake (Arlington, South Dakota).
