Valentin Winter, leader (Vorsteher) of the Hutterian Brethren, chosen to the office on 22 February 1622, at Pausram, died 29 November 1631, having led the brotherhood with skill and faithfulness for ten years. He is the author of the song, "Von Gottes Lieb und Fürsorg viel."
