White Rock Hutterite Colony was founded in 1964 as a division from the [[Rosedale Hutterite Colony (Mitchell, South Dakota, USA)|Rosedale (South Dakota) Hutterite Colony]]. A daughter colony of the White Rock Hutterite Colony is the Spring Prairie Hutterite Colony (Hawley, Minnesota, USA).

In 2017 the White Rock Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony.
