Benjamin Wedel was born 7 August 1766, the son of [[Wedel, Benjamin (1742-1785)|Benjamin Wedel]] (1742-85) and Trincke Schmidt (see additional information for further information regarding Benjamin's family). He was baptized at the age of 17 and on 13 November 1785, was married to Sarcke Ratzlaff. He served the [[Przechovka (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland)|Przechovka]] Mennonite Church as minister from 1791 and as elder 1794-1809. He died 14 April 1813.
