Waterton Hutterite Colony in Hillspring, Alberta, was founded in 1961 as a division of Wilson Siding Hutterite Colony (Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada).

Daughter colonies of the Waterton Hutterite Colony include: Carmangay Hutterite Colony (Carmangay, Alberta, Canada); and Blue Ridge Hutterite Colony (Hillspring, Alberta, Canada).

In 2023 Waterton Hutterite Colony was a Dariusleut colony.
