View source for Voet, Hans (18th century)

Hans Voet (Foth) was a preacher of the [[Groningen Old Flemish Mennonites|Groningen Old Flemish]] congregation in [[Lithuania|Lithuania]], and after his expulsion from there, until 1760 in the Groningen Old Flemish congregation at Schönsee in the territory of [[Culm (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland)|Culm]], West Prussia. In 1727 and again in 1732 he wrote a letter to the Mennonites at [[Amsterdam (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Amsterdam]] complaining that the Catholic bishop of Culm was severely oppressing them so that they needed much money to satisfy the bishop and his officials.
