Veenland, a Dutch Mennonite family of Lippenhuizen in Friesland, Netherlands. Ubele Ymes Veenland (1873-1941), trained at the University of Amsterdam and the Mennonite Seminary, was pastor of the Tjalleberd congregation 1903-1940. He published a historical paper about this church in Doopsgezind Jaarboekje 1919. Ubele Veenland served the congregation of Gorredijk-Lippenhuizen as a treasurer 1827-d.1867. His son Eesge Ubeles Veenland (b. 1827) was treasurer of the same church 1867-d.l914. Yme Ubeles Veenland, a broth­er of Eesge, the father of Pastor U. Y. Veenland, also served this congregation as a deacon for a number of years. His son Pieter Ymes Veenland (b. 1875) has been treasurer of the Gorredijk-Lippenhuizen church since 1915.
