The Transcona Community Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba began services and formally organized in 1983. The group first met in a school gym. The congregation originated through outreach by Winnipeg Mennonite Brethren churches and the Manitoba Mennonite Brethren Conference.

The congregation had attendance of well over 100 in the mid-1980s, but internal conflicts over leadership style in 1987 led to a splintering of the congregation. At that time Edward Hamm resigned as pastor, having served for three years (1984-87).

The congregation dissolved in 1992.

The congregation met at the Palliser Furniture Co. on Pandora Ave. Pastor John Walker served in 1990 as a congregational leader.
