Jacob Theunisz (Teunis), born ca. 1569 at Leer, died 1625 at Emden, was a cloth merchant at [[Amsterdam (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Amsterdam]] and about 1620 a deacon of the Amsterdam [[Waterlanders|Waterlander]] Mennonite church. He was married to Pietertgen Lubbertsdochter, the daughter of Elder [[Gerritsz, Lubbert (1534-1612)|Lubbert Gerritsz]] and was a loyal and liberal member of the church.
