Swan River Valley Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Swan River, Manitoba, Canada)
The Swan River Valley Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation at Swan River, MB began services and formally organized in 1968. The first building was occupied in 1975. The congregation originated through colonization from the Rosenort and Greenland congregations.
In 1975 there were 55 members; in 1985, 83; in 2000, 124. The congregation has been affiliated with the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The language of worship is English.
The congregation's address is Swan River, MB, R0L 1Z0. The church is located 10 km south of Swan River on Hwy. 83, 12 km west on Hwy. 487. Minister Dennis Barkman served in 2001 as a non-salaried congregational leader. The church also operates Riverdale School, built in 1980.
