Spronk (Spronck), a Dutch Mennonite family, in the 17th century found at Utrecht, Netherlands. Here Abraham Spronck was from about 1620 an elder of the Old Flemish Mennonite congregation, which in 1632 merged with the Flemish, and in 1639 with the High German and Frisian congregation. In all these unifications Abraham Spronck took an active part. In 1632 he signed the Dordrecht Confession in the name of the Utrecht congregation. He served until 1652. His son Cornelis Spronk was a deacon of the Utrecht congregation in 1661-63.

The Spronck (Sprunck) family in West and East Prussia was apparently a collateral branch of this same family. It was found in Danzig both in the Flemish and Frisian congregations, from 1678 and 1685 respectively. As early as 1618 a Cornelius Sprungk is named, a farmer at Altebabke, West Prussia. Hans Sprung rented the "Schlossbrennerei" (distillery) at Tiegenhof in 1664. Johan Peter Sprunck moved from Danzig to Königsberg in East Prussia in 1716. The following members of the family were living in Königsberg in the 18th century: Abraham Jansz, distiller; Bernhard (or Peter Bernhard), distiller; Heinrich, wholesale dealer; and Isaac. Wilhelm Sprunck (1795-1871) was the owner of the famous distillery "Bunte Bock" at Memel, East Prussia. Hermann Sprunck was a preacher of the Heubuden congregation in West Prussia in 1869-95(?).
