The Southside Gospel Mennonite Chapel in Danskin, BC began services and formally organized in 1961. The first building was occupied in 1961. The congregation originated through outreach by the B.C. Conference.
In 1963 there were 30 members. The congregation has been affiliated with the Conference of Mennonites in British Columbia (1961-64) and the Evangelical Mennonite Mission Conference (1964-79). The language of worship is English.
