Samuel Grant "S. G." Shetler (1871-1942), a prominent Mennonite (Mennonite Church) evangelist and Bible teacher, was born 13 January 1871. He was baptized 13 December 1892 at the Stahl Mennonite Church, where he was ordained deacon in 1894 and minister in 1897.
