The Schoenwieser Mennoniten Gemeinde at Petersfield, Manitoba began services in 1937. The congregation originated through colonization. The settlement withered and dissolved as the road system made access to Winnipeg easier. It was affiliated with the Schoenwieser Mennoniten Gemeinde von Manitoba and the Conference of Mennonites in Canada. The language of worship was German.
