Despite the efforts of numerous mission workers in the 1970s, the mission closed in 1979 and the property was sold. However, tent meetings continued in the Osler area. In 1984 the Mission Board again purchased a property in the hamlet of Neuanlage, four miles south of Hague. Walden and Linda Toews served as the first missionaries; they were followed by Harold and Annie Goossen in 1989. Missions Canada purchased a church building and moved to the Neuanlage property in 1994. A small congregation organized and used the same Saskatchewan Valley name as the earlier mission effort.

The church's address is Hague, SK, S0K 1X0. (306) 225-4478. The building is located 8 km south of Hague in the hamlet of Nuenlage. Non-resident minister Dewey Unruh served in 2001 as a congregational leader.

The first Saskatchewan Valley Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation in Hague, Saskatchewan, Canada began as an outreach of the Northern District Mission Board in 1970. The board held tent meetings in Hague with promising results that led them to purchase a vacant church building in the area. Minister Ben Hiebert and his family moved to the area as missionaries in January 1971 and soon established the first congregation.

However, as with the earlier effort, the small congregation did not flourish and the work closed in about 2009. It was last listed in the 2009 Yearbook.
