Rundbriefe

Rundbriefe (Circle Letters). A fellowship among young German Mennonites was created following World War II through the youth work of the South German Mennonite Conference, which was carried on through a circle letter and occasional fellowship meetings. It reached its height 1938-39, at which time the list of participants totaled 183, distributed as follows: South Germany 74, West and East Prussia and Danzig 17, Berlin 8, Hamburg 14, Germany scattered 19, Holland 19, Poland 9, Switzerland 7, France 1, Paraguay 13, Mexico 2. The movement was subdivided into sub-circles which reached a total of 26, each with 8-10 in intimate fellowship. The publication of the movement was Mitteilungen für die mennonitischen Jugend-Rundbrief-Freunde. The movement was concerned with spiritual renewal on a Biblical basis for individuals and the church.
