Adrian Richter (Henkel), an Anabaptist martyr from Emseloh, a village near Sangerhausen in Thuringia, Germany, the servant of a slater, Georg Knoblauch, stayed with his family in the Lutter forest near Lauterberg (Osterode district), was drowned in the Bode in the city of Groningen on the Bode on 20 September 1535, with Hans Höhne and Petronella, after a steadfast confession of his faith.
