Ravens family

Ravens (Raven, Rave), a Mennonite family name, found during the 17th and 18th centuries in the Lower Rhine area, Germany, and particularly at Rees. In the 18th century a Ravens family lived at Gladbach. The martyr Wendel Ravens may have been a member of this family. Since about 1620 a Raven(s) family, which had moved in from the Rhineland, has been found in Amsterdam.
