John A. Raber (b. 1873), Baltic, Ohio, Old Order Amish publisher and bookseller. He has published since 1930 the annual Der Neue Amerikanische Calender, which contains the "Schriften und Lieder" for the Old Order Amish services, and also a complete address list of Amish ordained men with birth and ordination years, plus a list of Old Colony ministers in Mexico and of Hutterite ministers. In 1926 he published a reprint of Menno Simons' Vollständige Werke. He compiled and published the Family Records of Jacob Raber from Germany and His Lineal Descendants. In the late 1950s he was the Amish book supplier for the Middle West and West, especially since L. A. Miller of Arthur, Illinois, was no longer active.
