Een Christelijke Proeve, ende overlegginge ofte rekeninge waerin dat alien B. en S. vermaendt warden tot een scherp ende neerstich ondersoec haers selfs, ende der gantscher menichte, is a Dutch Mennonite book, published in 1570, reprinted in 1610 (no publisher indicated) and at Haarlem in 1626. It was published after the Dutch Mennonites had been divided by the Frisian-Flemish schism, in which the Zierikzee congregation had remained neutral, and were therefore called Stilstaanders. They were banned both by Frisians and Flemish. In Een Christelijke Proeve they give the motivation of their neutrality, criticizing the dissentious groups and urging peace and reconciliation.
