Prince George Chinese Christian Fellowship began as a mission of the Southern Baptist Conference in Prince George, British Columbia. Nahim Yip, director of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at the University of Northern British Columbia, began coordinating work with Chinese students in 2004. Eventually the group of 15-20, comprised of both Cantonese and Mandarin speaking people, requested a relationship with the [[British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches|British Columbia (BC) Conference of Mennonite Brethren (MB) Churches]] so that they could relate to an English congregation.
