Pleasant View Old Order (Wisler) Mennonite Church, located in Mahoning County, Ohio, was a congregation of about 80 members in the late 1950s. In 1872 preacher Samuel Good (1810-83) and deacons David Weaver (1819-90) and Christian Lehman (1832-1912) with about 16 families withdrew from the Columbiana-Mahoning congregation with Bishop Jacob Wisler. Local issues that precipitated the division were the use of the English language in preaching, elevation of the pulpit and ceiling in the new Oberholtzer meetinghouse, and funeral customs. This group used the three meetinghouses of the Columbiana-Mahoning congregation in 1872-1898. The Columbiana-Mahoning (Mennonite Church) congregation held three services a month, alternating between the Oberholtzer church at Columbiana, the Nold church at Leetonia, and the Metzler church at North Lima. The Wisler group used one of the two churches that were vacant. In 1897 a meetinghouse, still used, was erected west of the present Midway church. The congregation was organized with 40 charter members in 1898. Ministers who have served are Samuel Good (1810-83), Jacob Tyson (1850-1914), who moved from Wood County, Ohio, Jacob L. Weaver (1846-1921), Harvey Horst, and Abraham Brubaker. In 1957 the ministers were Daniel C. Winner, Israel Snyder, and David Weaver, with a membership of 85.
