Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church ([[General Conference Mennonite Church (GCM)|General Conference Mennonite Church]]), located at Kismet, [[Kansas (USA)|Kansas]], was organized by Mennonite fami­lies coming from eastern Kansas at the beginning of the century. The first report of the congregation, under the name Schöntal Mennonite Church, ap­peared in the [[Western District Conference (Mennonite Church USA)|Western District Conference]] minutes of 1915. In 1930 P. B. Kopper was listed as leader, and the membership was 48. In 1957 the minister was Harold H. Jantzen, and the membership 38.
