Pinneberg (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany)
Pinneberg, is a town (population of 41,000 in 2005) in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein, capital of the district Pinneberg in Germany. It is located about 11 miles (17.7 km.) northwest of the center of Hamburg, Germany, and is the seat of a Mennonite home for the aged, opened in 1956 in a house rented for that purpose, and named "Abendfrieden." It was operated by Mennonitische Heime and served mostly aged Mennonite refugees from West Prussia.
