Lambert Pietersz, author of Nootwendighe Verclaringhe van 't Verscheel ende Questie, geresen tusschen Jan Jacobsz van Harlinghen met zijne Medehulpers en tusschen P. Jelties van Collum met syne Medestanders (no place of publication indicated, 1621). This booklet gives some information about the schism among the Old Frisian Mennonites. The author was an opponent of Jan Jacobsz and a follower of Pieter Jeltjes. He was a "bishop" of the Old Frisian Mennonite congregation at Bolsward, Dutch province of Friesland, a malt maker by trade, and no doubt the author of some other books, one of which was an attack on the Catholic doctrine of the Apostolic Succession, entitled Proeve op die Pauselijcke Afkomste ende succesie (2 vol., Hoorn, 1633).
