Pieter van Eynoven (Eynhoven), a native of [[Antwerp (Belgium)|Antwerp]], Belgium, a silk weaver 28 years old, had been baptized "according to Christ's teaching" by a certain Leenaert (namely, [[Lenaerdt Boeckbinder (16th century)|Lenaerdt Boeckbinder]]) at Antwerp. He later lived in Rotterdam, Holland, where he was seized and twice horribly tortured, but he remained true to his faith, and was condemned to die by fire with two companions on 28 March 1558, at Rotterdam.
