Hans Peisker (Peissger, Peissker, also Doring), an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] [[Martyrs|martyr]], a miller of Kleinreutersdorf near Orlamünde, [[Thuringia (Germany)|Thuringia]], Germany, baptized by Melchior Rink. In his home an Anabaptist meeting was surprised by the police on 20 November 1535. Sixteen persons attending, including Hans Peisker and his daughter Margarethe, were led away prisoners. He bade his wife, who was awaiting the birth of a child, a moving farewell. With four other brethren he was imprisoned in Jena and subjected to a cross-examination under [[Melanchthon, Philipp (1497-1560)|Philipp Melanchthon]] and [[Cruciger, Kaspar (1504-1548) |Cruciger]] on 1 December. In his home an Anabaptist meeting was surprised by the police on 20 November 1535. Sixteen persons attending, including Hans Peisker and his daughter Margarethe, were led away prisoners. He bade his wife, who was awaiting the birth of a child, a moving farewell. With four other brethren he was imprisoned in Jena and subjected to a cross-examination under Philipp Melanchthon and Cruciger on 1 December. He remained steadfast and was executed with Heinz Kraut and Jobst Moller on 26 January 1536 at Jena.
