Paulus Harrouts, an Anabaptist martyr of Somerdijk, i.e., Sommelsdijk, burned at the stake at Zierikzee, Dutch province of Zeeland, on 7 December 1540, because he did not believe the Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation.
