Parimala Bai more often addressed in Christian circles as Mrs. Kadar, was born 17 May 1904 in Hyderabad, Andrha Pradesh, to Narsaya and Sundra Bai. When she was still quite young the family moved to Raipur, Madhya Pradesh, where her father became a minister of the Evangelical Reformed Mission church. Parimala completed her school through the eighth class in the mission schools. She married Kadar Master, a Christian school teacher, ca. 1922, and they moved to Ghatula (an outstation 45 miles (70 km.) southeast of Dhamtari) when he was offered employment with the American Mennonite Mission (MC).
