Oostzaan, near Zaandam, in the Dutch province of North Holland, was for a few years the seat of a Mennonite circle organized in 1946, which belonged to the Zaandam congregation. From the earliest times Anabaptist-Mennonites lived at Oostzaan; Anabaptist activity here is mentioned as early as 1534.
