Norwich East District Amish (Norwich, Ontario, Canada)

The Norwich Amish community began services in 1954. The Amish meet in homes. The congregation originated through immigration from the United States beginning in 1954.

In 1965 there were 42 members; in 1975, 52. The congregation has been affiliated with the Old Order Amish. The language of worship is German.

R.R. 1, Norwich, ON. Located halfway between Tillsonburg and Norwich. Bishop Eli Schwarzentruber served in 2002 as a non-salaried congregational leader.
