The Niagara Evangelical Mennonite congregation in Virgil, Ontario began services about 1988 and formally organized in 1990. David and Susie Eidse are considered the founding leaders of the group.

In 1990 there were 15 members and the congregation held services in the Maple Leaf Public School near Virgil. Pastor Dave Eidse served in 1990 as a congregational leader. The congregation has dissolved. It had been affiliated with the Evangelical Mennonite Conference. The language of worship was English.
