New Friedensberg Mennonite Church (General Conference Mennonite) was located seven miles (11 km) south and 1.5 miles (2.5 km) west of Vona, Colorado. The congregation was organized in 9 August 1908 and the church built in 1912. The building held 100 chairs, but throughout its history, the congregation reached a maximum membership of about 30 members.

The settlement began when the Cornelius B. Schultz, Andrew B. Becker, and Benjamin H. Boese families moved to the Vona area from South Dakota in 1907.

New Friedensberg had 20 members in 1959. The congregation last sent a representative to the Western District Conference in 1969, though services led by lay leaders may have continued for a few years. Even in the early 1980s a few families still used the building for Bible study and funerals.
