Mudenda Samson (1916-1984)

Mudenda Samson, educator and churchman, was one of the national leaders in the Brethren in Christ Church in Zambia during the years from 1965 to 1984. He and his wife, Anna Muleya, were blessed with five children.

Mudenda attended the Union Bible Institute in South Africa (1955), Wanezi Bible Institute in Zimbabwe (1956), and Ekuphileni Bible Institute in Zimbabwe (3 years). He also studied at Messiah College, Grantham, PA. (1962-1963, and 1975-1976), majoring in biblical studies, and at the International Institute of Communications, Harare, Zimbabwe. He served in the Brethren in Christ educational program as pastor and teacher in Zambia until his election as overseer for the Macha Circuit. He was ordained in 1956. After returning from Messiah College with a BA degree in 1976, he served as the principal of the Sikalongo Rible Institute until his death.
