Maerten van Wijk (Wijke) (Maerten Thomassen), an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, was burned at the stake at [[Antwerp (Belgium)|Antwerp]], [[Belgium|Belgium]], on 26 February 1571, together with [[Calleken Meevels (d. 1571)|Calleken Meeuwels]] and [[Jan van de Walle (ca. 1531-1571)| Jan van de Walle]].
