Lievens, Antonette (16th century)

Antonette Lievens was a Dutch Anabaptist poet who composed the hymn "Aensiet o Heer onsen strijt groot" (Regard, O Lord, our great struggle), found in Het Tweede Liedeboeck (1583) published by Nicolaes Biestkens (Amsterdam. The name of the composer can be read from the first letters of the 16 stanzas. Nothing is known of her life.
