<em>Een Liedeken van LXXII vrienden, </em>is a Dutch Mennonite hymn of 25 stanzas by an unknown poet written to celebrate 72 martyrs who were executed at [[Antwerp (Belgium)|Antwerp]], [[Belgium|Belgium]], in 1555-1560. It begins with the words "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche Vader, ons clagen in deser tijt" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father, our lamentation in this time). The martyrs mentioned here are all found in the publications by [[Génard, Petrus (1830-1899)|Génard]] in the <em>Antwerpsch Archievenblad </em>but while Génard usually gives the names of the victims according to the records with their place of birth, the hymn mostly names them after their trades. The first of the 72 martyrs is [[Tanneken van der Leyen (d. 1555)|Tanneken van der Leyen]], executed on 5 October 1555, and the last one is [[Maeyken de Hont (d. 1560)|Maeyken van Aken]] (Maeyken de Hont), who suffered death on 4 April 1560. The hymn, which has proved to be very accurate, was composed before 9 August 1560, for [[Jan de Tasmaker (d. 1560?)|Jan de Tasmaker]], who is obviously identical with [[Jan Cleeren (d. 1560)|Jan Cleeren]] (executed on this date), was still in prison—as the author expressly mentions—when the hymn was written.
