Lenzi, Michel (d. 1527)

Michel Lenzi was an Anabaptist martyr of whom nothing is known except that on 21 May 1527, a few hours after the execution of Michael Sattler at Rottenburg, Germany, he also died as a martyr, having refused to return to the Catholic Church. At the same time Mathis Kürssner, Stoffel Schuhmacher, and "the aged Geiger" were also put to death. Fourteen other Anabaptists saved their lives by recanting.
