Lennep, Henrick Samuel van (1832-1914)

Henrick Samuel van Lennep, born 10 February 1832 at Amsterdam, died 24 October 1914 at Heemstede, was a jurist and well-known legal authority in Amsterdam and director of the Vesta Life Insurance Company. He served the Algemene Doopsgezinde Sociëteit as a trustee from 1869 until his death, and as treasurer from 1872 until his death. He was elected chairman of this conference (A.D.S.) three times. He also served for a long time as chairman of the Dutch Mennonite Mission Association, and for 12 years as a deacon of the Amsterdam congregation. He was married to Anna Cecilia van Eeghen.
