Felix Landis, a son of the martyr Hans Landis a member of the Anabaptist congregation at Horgerberg, canton of Zürich, Switzerland, was held with his wife Adelheid Egli in the Ortenbach prison in Zürich with inhumane treatment until death released him from his suffering about 1642. His wife languished in prison for four years before she managed to escape. But her household had been destroyed, her children given to strangers, house and furniture sold, and the proceeds of 5,000 florins confiscated.
