The Communauté chrétienne internationale de Montréal was a church plant of the Rendez Vous Montréal project in 2002 with the Quebec Mennonite Brethren Conference (AEFMQ). The congregation was begun by Jean-Calvin Kitata and was quite multiethnic with a Congolese core. At first meeting in the St. Laurent MB building it moved in 2006 to Verdun and began helping immigrants. Initial pastoral funding ran out but it remained a C2C church plant. When an attempt to buy a former Salvation Army building failed the group began to decline. From 2012 it was led by intern pastor "Mama" Thérèse Nandoh and met in various downtown locations, ministering to new immigrants from Africa. It joined with the L'Essentiel congregation in 2014.
