L'Essentiel (also known as Communauté chrétienne L’Essentiel), Montreal, Quebec, Canada, was a French-language church planting effort by both Mennonite Church Eastern Canada and the Association des Églises des frères mennonites du Québec. It was established in 2012 and took a non-traditional relational approach to postmodernism.

In 2014 it had eight members, and met in rented facilities. It was led by a pastoral leadership team. In November 2016 it disaffiliated with Mennonite Church Canada.
