Johann Nepomuk von Kripp zu Krippach und Prunberg, a historian, was educated at the Gymnasium at [[Hall in Tirol (Tyrol, Austria)|Hall]] and the University at Innsbruck, [[Tyrol (Austria)|Tyrol]], [[Austria|Austria]]. From 1850 to 1881 he was a teacher of geography and history at the Innsbruck Gymnasium. In connection with the history of his local community he wrote "Ein Beitrag zur Geschichte der Wiedertäufer in Tirol" <em>(8. Programm des k. k. Staatsgymnasiums zu Innsbruck, </em>Innsbruck, 1857, 3-60). As sources he used manuscripts in the Innsbruck archives and in the <em>Stiftsregistratur </em>in [[Brixen (Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, Italy)|Brixen]]. By way of introduction he gives a detailed account of the [[Hutterian Brethren (Hutterische Brüder)|Hutterian Brethren]] in [[Moravia (Czech Republic)|Moravia]].
