Kreider, a Mennonite family, migrated from the [[p3594.html|Palatinate]] to [[Pennsylvania (USA)|Pennsylvania]] in the early 18th century. Jacob Kreider (d. 1751) came to [[Lancaster County (Pennsylvania, USA)|Lancaster County]] in 1716, settling south of the city of Lancaster.
