Der Kleine Afrika-Bote was a monthly periodical published by the Afrika-Missions-Verein from June 1936 through January 1944. In all, 80 issues were published. Its editor was F. C. Thiessen, a Mennonite Brethren minister, and its place of publication was The Rundschau Publishing House of Winnipeg.

The Afrika-Missions-Verein was an independent mission society organized to sponsor the mission at Bololo in the Belgian Congo where Henry and Anna Bartsch had established a mission field. The major support of this mission society came from Mennonite Brethren churches and individuals. Since the mission field was incorporated in the missionary program of the Mennonite Brethren Church in 1943 Der Kleine Afrika-Bote discontinued its publication.
